Florida swamps are actually huge rivers!
Recently my wife and I explored the Everglades of Florida for the first time. Very exciting photo-trip. But, we did so from the safety of a boardwalk and plenty of fencing. This big boy later ate one of the birds we photographed in the region. We were amazed that the Florida State Parks often rent metal canoes in the lakes and bayous there. Of course, we didn't see many inflateables!
